Welcome back to your weekly lineup where we let you know the events happening in the city this weekend. From concerts, dance parties to art festivals, Torontonians will surely be entertained and amazed with what’s to come. Without further ado, here’s what you can check out:

Friday, June 9:

Charlie Puth Presents The “Charlie” Live Experience

American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth is hitting the Budweiser Stage for his tour, The “Charlie” Live Experience. The artist is known for his popular songs “Attention” and “We don’t talk anymore.” Most recently, Puth has been blowing up on TikTok for his ability to create beats and songs from everyday sounds. His concert gets going at 7:30 p.m.

Pride Extravaganza with Priyanka

The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is welcoming Pride month with a one-night-only musical performance by one of Canada’s most famous drag artists, Priyanka, in Baillie Court. Along with special guest Yovska, Priyanka brings audiences into her world with dance, music and visuals. Tickets are available now. The event starts at 7 p.m.

Blackberry 

Do you remember the days of BBMing on your Blackberry? Well now you can watch how Blackberry came to be in this new film by Toronto director Matt Johnson and producer Matthew Miller as they investigate the brilliance of the individuals who invented the world’s first smartphone. There will also be a post-screening Q&A with Johnson and Miller for fans to ask their burning questions. The film starts at 8 p.m.

Saturday, June 10: 

Liberty Village Art Crawl

Walk through Liberty Village and enjoy over 120 talented local artists and designers at the 10th annual Liberty Village Art Crawl. It’s going to be a fun day filled with art, music, food, interactive activities and more. The event is being held at the Bentway, under the Gardiner Expressway, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Better Together – Singing Out’s Spring Matinée Concert

Toronto’s largest 2SLGBTQQIA+ choir is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a spring concert. Since1992, Singing Out has been a place for many to share their love of music together while finding a community and spreading joy. The group is inviting visitors to sing songs by various artists, such as Dua Lipa, Whitney Houston, Lorde, and many more. General admission tickets are $30 and the concert is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Reggae Fest

Epic League Entertainment is hosting a Reggae Fest at History and it’s asking you to join the party. Originating in the United States, the reggae fest has now come to the city bringing its finest DJ’s who are ready to spin only the best in dancehall, reggae, afrobeats, soca, and more. Visitors must be 19+ to join. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m.

‘Til Sunset: The Beach Party

The annual ‘Til Sunset “The Beach Party” returns for Pride month. The party is a celebration of love, diversity and of course, pride. For the first time ever, the event will feature international recording artist CupcakKe and a lineup of talented A-List artists from the Black 2SLGBTQI+ Toronto community. This is a rain or shine event being held at Cherry Beach at 2 p.m. All tickets are final sale.

Sunday, June 11: 

Botanical Expo

The Botanical Expo is coming to the city at Evergreen Brick Works on Sunday. The show will feature almost 200 tropical plant vendors and showcase the talents and craftsmanship found within the community. Visitors can also enjoy food and drinks, while also grabbing a selfie at the expo’s free photo booth station. The expo runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Kaskade at Cabana Pool Bar

Acclaimed American DJ and electronic producer Kaskade is coming to Cabana Pool Bar. He is known for his uplifting and vibrant dance anthems which has mesmerized fans, leading to sold out shows and arenas. Currently, he’s become a staple in the electronic music scene. His show starts at 1 p.m.

Mystery & Magic at The Rec Room

Mind-readers Beyond Mental Borders are back with an exciting night of magic, mind games and live entertainment at The Rec Room. The group will perform their show CONNECTION and will leave audiences enthralled with twists, surprises and interactive experiences. Heads up, the show does rely on audience participation, so expect to possibly be called upon if you attend. General tickets are $28.50 and the first slot runs from 5 p.m. to 6:20 p.m.
