
Are you ready for this weekend, GTA? This week, there are tons of events happening for both Taylor Swift fans who are celebrating the star’s tour run in Toronto and for those looking for a fun evening out.
There are many activities to check out this weekend, including The Gem Expo and Meta Expo, a holiday market and a Taylor Swift friendship bracelet making workshop.
Friday, November 15:
Gem Expo and Meta Expo
If you’re a fan of the metaphysical and spiritual, you must check out Toronto’s Meta Expo and Gem Expo where both worlds will meet for three days of gemstones galore.
From Nov 15-17, the two events will take place at The Hyatt Regency, where guests can enjoy spiritual healers, a vast range of wellness products, metaphysical suppliers, expert talks, tarot card readings, meditations, and plenty of opportunities to purchase gemstone products from local and international vendors. Adult Day Passes are $10, weekend passes are $20, students and seniors are $5 and kids 12 and under are free. One ticket will grant access into both shows with over 80 vendors combined plus get $10 in coupons to spend in the expo.

Fall Fundraiser and Fabric Sale
Toronto’s largest sustainable fabric sale returns on Friday and Saturday. The Textile Museum of Canada is inviting you to its Fall Fundraiser and Fabric Sale where you can shop from a curated selection of high-quality textiles, supplies, and fabric bundles perfect for your next craft project. It’s happening from 11 a.m to 4 p.m and it’s free to attend.

28th Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival
The 28th Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival is back to showcase contemporary Asian cinema and work from the Asian diaspora. The festival puts local and international Asian artists on display and provides them a public forum. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. Tickets range from $5 to $50 and the event takes place in locations across downtown Toronto.

Radisson Blu’s Champagne Problems Pop-Up Bar
Enjoy some Taylor Swift-themed drinks and décor at the Radisson Blu hotel in downtown Toronto. As a special treat to Swifties, the hotel has created the Champagne Problems pop-up bar in its lobby where guests can see the pop star’s famous album covers from Fearless, Reputation, 1989, Lover, and more! Fans are also encouraged to try the deliciously-themed Lavender Haze Latte at the hotel’s Café Locale and the Wildest Dreams buffet brunch at the Radisson’s spectacular restaurant The View, which offers stunning sights of the city as its name suggests, from Nov 15-17 and Nov 22 – 24.
The Champagne Problems pop-up bar is available from 3 to 7 p.m from Nov. 13-24. Guests can also partake in a friendship bracelet swap at the front desk to unite with fellow Swifties!

Taylor Happy Hour at Constantine
For the rest of November, Mediterranean restaurant Constantine is having a special Taylor Swift Happy Hour where fans can jam out to the star’s best hits and sip on Swiftie-inspired cocktails. A live DJ will be spinning her tracks from 3 to 6 p.m on concert days and as you dance, why not sip in “Style” on cool cocktails, including The Tortured Poet, Getaway Car, Lucky 13, Enchanted, and Loving You Was Red. It also wouldn’t be a Swiftie event without a friendship bracelet trading bowl available for hotel guests.

Saturday, November 16:
3rd Annual Outdoor Holiday Market
Robyn’s Cookies and Sahara & Co. have organized a free outdoor holiday market at 953 Mt Pleasant Rd. Guests can support local businesses and shop from a variety of unique gifts, trinkets and delicious treats. It’s from 10 a.m and ends at 4 p.m.

A Splash of Swift: Dive into the Eras Tour
Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is hosting a Taylor Swift experience where fans of all ages can immerse themselves in themed activities to celebrate the Eras Tour. This includes creating friendship bracelets, Eras-inspired photo backdrops, art sessions and more. It’s available from Nov. 14 to 24 from 9 a.m to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $46 for adults.

Taylor Swift Friendship Bracelet Making Workshop
Make as many friendship bracelets as your heart desires with Kind Karma Company. The jewellery store wants Swifties to join them for an hour of bonding and bracelet making with friends. All materials will be provided and free refreshments will be provided. The first session begins at 1 p.m at 260 Spadina Ave.

Sunday, November 17:
Holiday Fest & Butter Tart Market
Try some yummy pastries at the Old Mill Holiday Fest and Butter Tart Market where there’ll be over 50 local and small business owners to support. The market will offer butter tarts, baked goods and other mouth watering treats. It’s free to attend and is happening from 10 a.m to 4 p.m at 21 Old Mill Road.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Young People’s Theatre is putting on a musical adaption of the classic 2005 family movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The production will bring all of your favourite characters to life from Charlie Bucket, Grandpa Joe and the four lucky golden ticket-winners. The event is at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets range from $10 to $54.

Street Talk Stencils
Swiftie fans can walk along Taylor Swift Way from Queen St. W. to the Rogers Centre to find poetry, as Street Talk Stencils has transformed the city’s sidewalks into a poetry path in honour of the pop star’s tour run. The free poetry journey will be available until the singer’s last show on Nov. 23.
