Toronto, there’s only a limited amount of sunny weekends. So, soak up the sun and attend these events around the city.

Environment Canada is predicting highs of 26 on Friday, 20 on Saturday and 22 on Sunday; perfect for a hot girl summer weekend. 

So, Now Toronto compiled a list of nine things to do to spice up your weekend.

FRIDAY

Walking Wine Tour

  • Location: 92 Front St E.

Join Walking Pigeon Wine Tour’s flight path to try 8-10 premium wines across three east-end wine bars. Bad Choices Standup Comedy Show

We’ve all made dumb choices we later regret, so we may as well laugh about it. Visit Chakhna at 8:30 p.m. for a night filled with laughter. Hilary Henderson, Jwalit Bhardwania, Dimi Kolovopoulos and Darren Leo will be the four stand-up comedians exposing their worst life choices on stage. The Coffee Party Festival

There, you’ll learn how to formulate soap in a rustic setting, and take home two pounds of natural soap – equivalent to 10 bars. You also get to keep the reusable mold, along with the recipe. Beginner Heels Class for QWOC

Let your body talk at a beginner heels class. If you’re a Queer woman of colour over the age of 25, join the class to explore foundational heels technique and simple beginner-friendly choreography. Expect good music and a welcoming atmosphere. No experience is needed, just bring a pair of heels that are comfortable to move in, and an open mind. The event runs from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and costs $20 plus taxes and fees.

Writer’s Club

Channel your inner writer in an aesthetic coffee shop alongside other writers. Recess by Coralie is hosting a writer’s club event at Creeds Coffee Bar to rediscover the art of blogging. The writing session will explore platforms to host a blog, and find topics, niches and themes that excite you. Expect icebreakers, writing exercises, group discussions, dedicated writing blocks and optional sharing and feedback time. The event runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and costs $5 plus fees on Eventbrite.
