It’s halfway through October, so if you haven’t already carved a jack o’lantern, we’re approaching crunch time.
Don’t know where to find the perfect pumpkin? We’ve got you covered! Here are five pumpkin patches in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) we recommend visiting:
Knox Pumpkin Farm (6325 Enfield Rd., Clarington)
Located about an hour east of the city, Knox Pumpkin Farm not only has amazing pumpkins, but a plethora of activities for all ages including a petting zoo, wagon rides and a mini-maze.
Tickets are available in person, but you can also find advanced tickets here.
Andrew’s Farm Market and Winery (9365 10 Side Rd., Milton)
This Milton farm has pick-your-own and pre-picked pumpkins that are the perfect size for pies and carving. They also have pick-your-own dahlias which combined with their decorative seasonal vegetables, make for the ultimate fall display. Tickets can be found here.
Pingles (1805 Taunton Rd., Clarington)
Known for their apple picking experience, a visit to Pingles is always on the fall to-do list. Between expansive acres perfect for pumpkin picking, slides, games and fresh eats from the year-long marketplace, this farm has something for everyone. Tickets and passes are available here.
Reesor’s (10825 Ninth Line, Markham)
This Markham farm has seven acres to find the perfect pumpkin to take home, but also offers equally good pre-picked ones. The farm also offers great photo opportunities, especially while trying to escape the corn maze. Advance tickets are recommended and can be purchased here.
Murphy’s Farm Market and Bakery (5141 County Rd., Alliston)
Just outside the GTA, Murphy’s Fall Festival runs from Wednesday to Sunday until Oct. 26. After pumpkin hunting, be sure to catch the pumpkin canon, try out the bouncing pillow and meet a few highland cows. Tickets are available here.
