Justin Bieber and Tate McRae top 2026 JUNO Award Nominations

A mix of global stars and rising artists shape one of the most competitive JUNO years yet.

The nominees for this year’s JUNO Awards are in, with popstars Justin Bieber and Tate McRae leading the Canadian music lineup as the most-nominated artists of the year.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) unveiled the nominees for the 55th Annual JUNO Awards on Tuesday. In total, 248 nominations across 47 categories were announced.

Stratford-born Bieber and Calgary’s McRae each tied with six nominations, the most either artist has received in a single JUNO season. 

Rising star Cameron Whitcomb and The Weeknd followed closely behind with five nominations each, while Daniel Caesar picked up four and Jessie Reyez received three.

For British Columbia’s Whitcomb, he’s been nominated in major categories, including Album of the Year, Single of the Year and TD JUNO Fan Choice, alongside some of Canada’s most established names.

Bieber, McRae and The Weeknd will go head to head in several of the night’s observed categories, including Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Single of the Year.

Winners will be announced in Hamilton, Ont., with The JUNO Awards Gala set for Saturday, Mar. 28, followed by The JUNO Awards broadcast live from TD Coliseum on Sunday, Mar. 29. 

The show will air at 8 p.m. ET on CBC and will stream on CBC Gem and CBC Music’s YouTube channel.
