K-pop group P1Harmony surprised Toronto fans with a free show at Trinity Bellwoods Park, after their official concert in the city was rescheduled.

The boy band was scheduled to appear at the Coca-Cola Coliseum stage on Wednesday evening, but the concert was postponed after a system outage at the Canada-U.S. border. The new concert is now set to take place on Oct. 7.

The postponement caused frustration among many fans online, some who said they even had to travel in from other provinces or gave up on other commitments to watch the group.

But the group didn’t leave fans hanging, and headed to Toronto’s Trinity Bellwoods for a surprise presentation on Wednesday evening. The gathering was only announced to fans moments before it started through an Instagram livestream and a story at the park.

The initiative was applauded by many fans, who shared multiple videos of the concert online and praised the group for holding the surprise.

“So glad I got to come to this, since I can’t go on the 7th!” one fan said on TikTok.

“The sweetest and most thoughtful boys!! I really hope that the people who can no longer attend at least got a chance to see them today,” another person said.

“What a great way to show putting your fans first. I’m not big into K-pop but this warms my frozen dead heart,” a different person commented on Reddit.

“It makes my poor, worn-out heart happy to see that there are still experiences that make Toronto worthwhile for young adults,” another person added.

On Thursday morning, the group shared their own video of the concert on their Instagram page, thanking their fans, who are popularly known as P1ece, for attending the show.

“Here’s to a sweet moment that we will never forget!” they wrote in the post.

This is not the first musical surprise at Trinity Bellwoods this week.

Last Saturday, Canadian R&B star Daniel Caesar also performed at a pop-up concert at the park, which was the first of a series of free shows the artist says he will lead across North America in anticipation of his new album, Son of Spergy.

Caesar’s concert drove a huge crowd to the park, after some fans spotted the star in the area moments before the show.
