Queen Street West BIA is going live in the live music scene. Torontonians can discover their new favourite artists between Bathurst and Simcoe.
Wednesday’s show will be presented at The Horseshoe Tavern – a country, rock, and indie bar that has been open since 1947. This tavern, which has hosted Canadian artists such as Amanda Marshall, Bruce Cockburn, and more, is hosting a free show with country performers Big Tobacco and the Pickers and Jeanne Truax at 8 p.m. Get your free ticket here!

Tomorrow, The Rivoli – a Canadian owned and operated restaurant, pool hall and concert venue is hosting rock performances from Drink 182 with Deadbeats on Holiday as special guests. Get your free ticket here!
Sofar Toronto is also partnering with Queen Street West BIA for two more shows on Jan. 17 and 18. Although they are both currently sold out of free tickets, they are expecting to open new spots.
Three artists are performing on both days. Jan. 17 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Jan. 18 is an afternoon show from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Artists include Toronto-based alt-pop songwriter and producer Chara Kai-Le, who performs music that delves into her experiences as a Southeast Asian woman living in a Western society.
Next is RBC Music Entrepreneurship Program participant Kev Olden, playing Americana and Indie folk, followed by Sasha L Henry, a Jamaican-born, Toronto-raised soul singer-songwriter.
