Premiering Jan. 28, the NBA legends will share real stories behind their basketball highlights.

The real-life cousins, as per the name, will be sharing stories from every viewpoint.

In a press release, Carter said that he and Tracy “have seen this game from every angle, as players, as family, and as fans of the current era.” So, with their podcast, they will get to share fan-favourite highlights and defining moments in their careers, while also breaking down that day’s game.

McGrady added that this podcast will highlight “up-close, personal conversations.”

This will be McGrady’s first time doing a podcast, but Carter has a history of hosting podcasts.

His first one was “Winging It With Vince Carter” back in 2020, doing a behind-the-scenes look at the NBA. And his second was “The VC show” in 2024, which also talked about all things basketball.

McGrady, nicknamed “T-Mac,” is a seven-time NBA All-Star, two-time scoring champion, and was featured in the Hall of Fame. Now, he’s serving as a broadcaster for NBC Sports’ NBA coverage – so he’s not new to the media world either.

Over his fifteen-year career, he got recognized for his smooth shooting touch, massive dunks, and highlight-reel moments.

Outside the court, he’s a father, active in youth basketball and player development, and, as shown through his new podcast, an entrepreneur.

Carter, nicknamed “Vinsanity,” is an eight-time NBA All-Star who played 22 seasons in the NBA, including seven with the Toronto Raptors. He’s a two-time All-NBA selection, the 1999 NBA Rookie of the Year, and has represented the United States at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, winning a gold medal. In 2024, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and his jersey #15 was retired from the Raptors in Nov. 2024 and from the Brooklyn Nets in Jan. 2025.

He’s currently working as an analyst for NBC Sports and YES Network, and is co-hosting the “Cousins” podcast.

Combined, Carter and McGrady have fifteen NBA All-Star Game selections across 37 seasons, and have scored more than 45,000 points total.

Both men are ready to share their experiences and perspectives on their podcast “Cousins,” premiering on Jan. 28 on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube.
