On May 27, 2025, Trudeau arrived for King Charles III’s Speech from the Throne wearing colourful blue and orange Gazelle Adidas sneakers. He found it fashionable, but some spectators found it disrespectful.
Dating Katy Perry
Getting time off of his professional life, Trudeau was rumoured to be courting American pop star Katy Perry.
On July 28, 2025, Trudeau and Perry were spotted having dinner at an upscale restaurant in Montreal, just one month after Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom broke off their engagement after a decade together.
After the first sighting, Katy’s fans started carrying signs shipping the two together.
Just a few days later, Trudeau attended Perry’s concert with his daughter, Ella-Grace, too.
Gradually, sightings kept being published. A few months later, on Oct. 11, 2025, the Daily Mail published Trudeau and Perry sharing a kiss on a yacht in California, U.S. By then, fans were convinced they were together.
Rumours sparked, and so did their chemistry – because just two days later, Perry alluded that she’s taken to reject yet another proposal (her third British fan!) on the London concert stage.
On Oct. 25, 2025, the couple was spotted in Paris, France, for Perry’s 41st birthday. TMZ reports that they left the Crazy Horse cabaret show holding hands.
They’ve had a few more sightings, but the most shocking was his hard launch, posted on Instagram, from a meeting he and Perry went to with former Japanese PM, Fumio Kishida.
And on Christmas, which also happens to be Trudeau’s birthday, people are speculating there might be some drama between the pair, as she was not pictured in his Instagram post, while she was spending time with her ex-fiancé and daughter.
