Osheaga released its 2025 lineup today, and there’s mixed reactions to the big names hitting the stage this summer.
The Montreal music festival is happening from August 1-3, at Parc Jean-Drapeau.
Headliners set to take the stage this year include American rock band The Killers on Friday, rapper and producer Tyler, the Creator on Saturday and chart-topping pop artist Olivia Rodrigo on Sunday.
With more than 85 artists set to perform, the lineup also includes big names like Grammy award winner Doechii, Gracie Abrams, country artist Shaboozey, Smino, R&B artist Jorja Smith, actor/artist Dominic Fike and so many more.
The festival also boasts 21 Canadian performers, including bbno$, PyPy, Ruby Waters, Bibi Club and Debby Friday.
Despite the big names attending this year’s festival, there are mixed reactions online. Some people feel that each day of the festival should have a specific genre of music rather than it being a mix of sounds.
“I wish they would try to find their niche one of these years. They try to do a little bit of something for everyone but it ends up just kind of mildly appealing. I wish if it was gonna be so eclectic that they would stack the headliners with similar subs, etc so that people could at least pick a specific day to attend,” one user on Reddit said.
“I miss the late 2010s when Osheaga actually had a good lineup and strong undercard,” a user on X said.
Meanwhile, some people are ecstatic about the lineup.
“Osheaga knew we needed to be saved from the 2025 downfall of festival lineups AND THEY DID,” one person on Instagram commented.
“Osheaga lineup has just cured my soul. I no longer need to leave the house and spend 20$ I can save until August,” another user on X said.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. and weekend tickets are available starting at $415 for an individual general admission ticket. Group tickets will also be available.
