As we move into the end of the year, Diwali celebrations are finally here, and for many, it’s a time to slow down, reflect, and celebrate. 

To help you decide how to celebrate this meaningful occasion, here are some Diwali events that you can attend in Toronto. 

Toronto’s Biggest Diwali Mega Party

Date: Oct. 18

Location: Casablanca Lounge & Event Venue (1108 Dundas St. W.)

This promises to be the biggest Diwali celebration in the city yet, with over one thousand guests and vibes up all night long! Toronto’s most popular Diwali party is back, inviting everyone to come and enjoy the best of the city’s Desi nightlife and Bollywood bangers.

Diwali in Toronto: Bollywood Party

Date: Oct. 18

Location: Penthouse 17 (17 Toronto St., 3rd Floor)

This party is a real gem for those looking to dance the night away and experience the Toronto nightlife, and promises to be the ultimate Diwali party in the city, uniting tradition with modern Bollywood and club culture. DJs Vodka, Brisky, and Berry will keep the vibe alive throughout the night with the best Bollywood, house and fusion beats, guiding over 500 guests on the dancefloor. 

The party is encouraging guests to dress to impress with a touch of luxury, and rock their best sarees, kurtas, lehengas and glam festive fits. The celebration will also include surprises, giveaways, and Deepawali touches throughout the party.

Diwali Dazzle @ The Drake

Date: Oct. 18

Location: The Drake Hotel (1150 Queen St. W.)

Another high-energy Diwali party will take over The Drake this weekend, promising an all-night-long celebration, and beats that will bring everyone to the dancefloor. This Diwali Dazzle is welcoming party-goers to dress up and enjoy hits by DJ Alfaa and friends, which will include the best of Bollywood, global club anthems, and techno.

Sparkle is the dress code, encouraging attendees to wear their best  Traditional Diwali outfits, but chic and festive club wear is also welcome.

Diwali Art Social: Diya Painting Workshop

For those looking for a more chill vibe to celebrate Diwali, this art social might be just the right event. Brush & Bloom is welcoming artists from all levels of experience at Black Lab Brewing this weekend for a fun painting art social, where they can decorate their own clay diwa and learn more about the history of this tradition. 

This workshop is a chance for attendees to celebrate the positivity of Diwali, while sipping on some delicious craft beer and exploring their creative side and taking home their own meaningful piece of art!

Mithaaí Diwali Gala 2025

Looking for a family-friendly Diwali celebration? This one might be for you! This party is inviting people for an evening of laughter and togetherness for the whole family. Honouring tradition and keeping the fun, this celebration hopes to create memories with a series of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. 

The party includes a free DIY activity station for kids and adults, so you can make your own potli decorations and take a keepsake home. The vibes will be up all day with lots of music, dance and live singing that will keep the celebration alive, followed by a delicious dinner gala. Kids will also be able to participate in a fashion show and Diwali gift giveaway, as well as a series of exciting prizes and games.

Women-only Tyohaar Diwali Gala

Location: Red Rose Convention Centre (1233 Derry Rd., Mississauga)

Where are the ladies at? This women-only Diwali gala is an opportunity to celebrate Indian tradition and also connect with a community of inspiring women and supportive women, at an uplifting party full of interactive activities. 

Organized by the Indian Women Circle, this is both their seventh annual Diwali gala and the group’s 10th anniversary celebration, which promises to be special. The party invites women from all walks of life to join in and form meaningful relationships with the community, dance around on the dancefloor, and share on the positive vibes and cultural pride. 

The event includes a series of fun activities and perks, including a warm welcome from organizers, social hour for networking, cultural performances, Bollywood music and art, fun games and giveaways, a delicious vegetarian dinner, a glam photobooth, and much more. Attendees are required to glam up on their traditional Indian outfits or festive suits and celebrate the occasion. 

The gala goes from 5–11:30 p.m. at the Red Rose Convention Centre, and tickets range from $75–$800. For more information, click here
