Torontonians have mixed feelings after Drake was spotted with local rapper Top 5 and Steph Curry during the Toronto Raptors game against the Golden State Warriors.

On Monday night, the Raptors beat the Warriors 104-101 ending their five game losing streak. The Raptors shined during the final quarter defending star point guard Curry who scored a total of 26 points.

However, beyond basketball, the talk of the town was Drake and his cozy interactions with Top 5 and Curry throughout the game.

DRAKE AND TOP 5

Many fans were displeased to see Drake alongside the Toronto rapper Top 5.

“I didn’t know those two actually hang out. That’s embarrassing,” one X user said.

Back in September, it was revealed that Drake had paid for the rapper’s legal fees. Top 5, formally known as Hassan Ali, was accused of ordering the killing of Hashim Hashi, a 20-year-old student who was murdered in Toronto three years ago.

Hashi was fatally shot in a parking garage of an apartment building at 40 Falstaff Avenue, in the area of Jane Street and Highway 401, on Jan. 31, 2021. On Sept. 23, 2024, Top 5 was free to go after a judge deemed some social media evidence as inadmissible.

BROMANCE WITH STEPH CURRY

Drake also shared a pleasant moment with Curry along the sidelines. The four-time NBA champion embraced the rapper showing his support, amid his ongoing beef with Kendrick Lamar.

Online, several users have mixed reactions to the interaction.

“Curry knows the true meaning of brotherhood, that’s why he’s the best of his generation,” one fan said on X.

“Steph stood by him. This is nice,” another user said.

Meanwhile, others say Curry should stay away from the Canadian rapper.

“So is Curry choosing sides?” one user questioned on X.
