From welcoming the summer season, to celebrating Pride or dancing your heart out at a day party, here are some ways to unwind in Toronto this weekend. 

Friday, June 20

Taylor Swift Boat Cruise Dance Party

Get ready to shake it off on the water at a Taylor Swift dance party. 

Maybe it won’t be a cruel summer after all! The Swifties Social is returning to Toronto this weekend, hosting another iconic boat dance party, this time celebrating Taylor Swift recently purchasing her catalogue of music.

The party is happening on Friday evening, with boarding from 6-7 p.m., while the boat departs from the dock at 176 Cherry St. at 7 p.m. sharp. The party ends with the boat returning to shore at 10 p.m.

This party is 19+, and requires a physical piece of government-issued ID for entry. Food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase during the event.

Neilson Park Creative Centre Pride 2025 

Head to Neilson Park Creative Centre on Friday evening for a night of creative expression.

Drag shows will be hosted by Anne Tique Doll and Ultraviolet, running from 7-7:45 p.m., and then again from 8:15-9 p.m., with an exhibition awards ceremony in between. 

Organized in collaboration between Neilson Park Creative Centre, Doll Haus and Toronto Pearson, the event runs from 6-9 p.m. It includes free activities like bracelet and button making, as well as an art exhibition with pieces from local 2SLGBTQ+ youth and adult artists. The exhibition theme is “Be Creative, Be You, Be All In!” and is on display at the centre’s Parkview Gallery from June 17 to July 5.

The event is accessible, free of charge, and appropriate for all ages.

Candlelight Sound Bath for the Summer Solstice

Unwind and welcome summertime with an evening of rest, reflection and beautiful live music.

During a candlelit performance inside of The Sanctuary, artist Bianca Lee will play the crystal singing bowls, while Carina Reeves will be on the cello, creating an atmosphere of stillness, harmony and wonder. Organizers call it an opportunity to slow down, tune in and take a meaningful pause as spring turns to summer.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m., with the event kicking off at 9 p.m.

Tickets are available for purchase in advance online, with limited tickets available at the door. 

Saturday, June 21 

Jeremy Dutcher with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra

Two-Spirit artist and cultural ambassador of Tobique First Nation Jeremy Dutcher is holding a must-see performance to celebrate Pride Month and National Indigenous Peoples Day. The Indigenous tenor and composer will be joining your Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) this Saturday to perform songs from his 2019 JUNO-awarded album Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa with influences of pop, jazz and neoclassical. Known for his mastery in blending styles and deeply meaningful compositions, the musician will also perform singles from his newest album, Motewolonuwok.

The party doesn’t end there! The Summer Solstice Party will also take over TSO’s patio to keep the energy going after the show. Attendees will have a chance to meet Dutcher and TSO artists over delicious, light bites and a complimentary drink, all under the stars. 

The show starts at 8 p.m. at the Roy Thomson Hall and will be followed by the patio party at 10 p.m., which is a 19-plus, ticketed event, with tickets starting at $50 in addition to admission to the concert. Click here for more information and to secure your tickets!

Na-Me-Res Pow Wow

Celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day at the 2025 Na-Me-Res Pow Wow!

The free, family-friendly community festival will include dancing, drumming, singing, delicious food, craft booths and information services.

The Pow Wow will take place at Fort York National Historic Site, at 250 Fort York Blvd. Entry to the event starts at 12 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m.

Summer Solstice Rooftop Day Party at Soluna 

Welcome summertime with a rooftop daytime dance party at Soluna.

The second annual Summer Solstice Rooftop Day Party will be taking over Soluana from 4-11 p.m., welcoming you to dance into the sunset on one of the most magical days of the year. Organizers say the party will bring the vibes of Tulum, where music, art, wellness and party culture meet.

Attendees can look forward to Organic and Latin American House Music,  Afro House and Disco House Music from a variety of DJs on deck throughout the day. 

The party also features dance performances, live community painting, body painting, vendors selling ethically made clothing and jewellery, permanent tattoos by Alexandria Rising Ink, cold pressed juice from Village Juicery and more!

There is a dress code in effect for the event. Attendees are encouraged to be creative and dress to impress. Think boho chic meets disco fever. Baseball hats, slip-on sandals, Crocs and fanny packs are not allowed.

Chocolate Kintsugi Workshop

Create an edible masterpiece at the Chocolate Kintsugi Workshop hosted by QUEST XO Chocolate Lab in Liberty Village. Inspired by the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi, organizers say this workshop is all about finding beauty in the broken. Attendees can paint a handcrafted chocolate tile with cocoa-butter paints, and smash it for a cathartic moment. Then, piece it back together with edible gold leaf to create a stunning, tasty symbol of resilience.

The event runs from 12:30-3 p.m. on Sunday and is open to anyone 15 and older.

Bellwoods Brewery Drag Lunch

Bellwoods Brewery is hosting its first-ever drag lunch event this weekend. 

The event runs from 12-2 p.m. and will feature a two-hour performance from “Canada’s Drag Race” queens Perla and Minhi Wang.

Tickets are $20, and all proceeds will go to Rainbow Health Ontario. Food and drink will be available for purchase, but are not included in the ticket price.

St. Lawrence Market Pride

Check out a special Pride event at St. Lawrence Market on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
