Friday, June 19
DESIFEST presented by TD: Celebrating 20 Years
- Location: Sankofa Square
Come to the downtown core for a free, two-day event, celebrating 20 years of South Asian music, culture, and community. Sankofa Square will host live shows, multiple DJs, and food vendors, bringing desi energy to the heart of the city. Beginning Friday at 5 p.m., DESIFEST is one music festival you don’t want to miss.
Toronto Jazz Festival 2026
- Location: Village of Yorkville Park
With a mix of free and tickets concerts, the Toronto Jazz Festival returns to the city, platforming local jazz musicians across the 10-day event. From small, intimate spots like The Rex Hotel and the Jazz Bistro, to well-known venues like Koerner Hall and the Danforth Music Hall, the annual music festival is set to bring energy and immersion to Torontonians.
AGO Friday Night: Drag Night
- Location: Art Gallery of Ontario
Starting at 6 p.m., Toronto drag fans can check out a night full of fun at the Art Gallery of Ontario. The evening is co-hosted by Toronto drag queens Messy Margaret and Madee Lovegood, and features four rounds of bingo, drag performances, prizes, a cash bar, and more. The event is free when buying an AGO general admission ticket.

CAMH Engage’s Paddles for Progress

Join the Fairgrounds Racket Club for a full day of play, including Pickleball and Padel tournaments, while raising money for the CAMH Foundation. The event brings together sport, community, and a shared commitment to mental health. Throughout the day, guests can expect bites from local vendors and a silent auction. After the tournaments wrap, the crowd continues to The Porch Toronto for a social event that brings players, supporters, and volunteers together.
Indigenous Arts Festival
- Location: Biidaasige Park
Toronto residents can experience live music, and good food at the free-to-attend Indigenous Arts Festival at Biidaasige Park. As part of Indigenous Peoples Month, the City of Toronto, along with the Seven Grandfather Teachings, is holding the event, to celebrate the cultures of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples of Turtle Island.
Cirque du Soleil: Luzia
- Location: Under the Big Top – Toronto
For over an hour and a half, experience LUZIA, a vibrant journey through an imaginary Mexico, which blends acrobatics with stunning visuals. Attendees will get to enjoy performances on sets simulating deserts and an ocean, displaying Mexico’s rich heritage and culture. The show begins at 3:30 p.m., so be sure to buy your tickets.

Fathers Day Celebration at Famous PEOPLE Players

Summer Music in the Garden

Summer Music in the Garden is a weekly, intimate, live music experience by the water. Attendees can grab a seat and enjoy a multicultural slate of songs, sounds and stories at the Toronto Music Garden. Throughout the summer, 20 free performances by Canadian musicians and celebrated local artists will play on the stage, with the season kicking off with a performance of The Sovereignty of Song featuring Julie Lumsden.
