Looking to better understand the science behind period health? That Good has you covered.
On Saturday, marketing agency That Good hosted the third installment of Mastering Me, its “signature women’s health event series designed to help women better understand and master their bodies through evidence-based education, expert-led conversations, and community.”
The event was held at Transmission Studios in Toronto and was powered by Natural Cycles.
Mastering Me 3.0: Period, which focused on period health, featured a keynote presentation from Dr. Natalie Crawford, a double board certified OB-GYN and reproductive endocrinologist.
This event followed previous successful iterations of Mastering Me that shed a light on menopause and perimenopause.
“This year’s event explored one of the most universal yet often misunderstood aspects of women’s health: the menstrual cycle,” That Good said in a press release.
“Bringing together leading healthcare practitioners, wellness experts, and women from across the GTA, the event created a space for honest conversations, practical education, and meaningful connection.”
The lunchtime event began with a grounding breath work session led by athletic performance coach Jessica Sturrup, which gave space for attendees to “slow down, connect, and prepare for a day of learning and conversation.”
The keynote discussion was moderated by Catriona Smart, the CEO and founder of That Good, and featured talks on topics such as period cycle literacy and fertility awareness by OB-GYN Dr. Yolanda Kirkham, naturopathic Dr. Steffe D’Ornellas, and The Period Lab founder Miranda Popen.
Finally, the aforementioned keynote presentation by Crawford focused on delivering evidence-based information on “reproductive health, fertility, hormone health, and the importance of understanding the female body beyond what many women are taught through traditional health education.”
That Good’s Mastering Me event series will return in the fall with a fourth iteration that will focus on fertility.
