In a fast-paced and often hectic urban environment, having a simple and effective technique like EFT can be invaluable in helping city dwellers manage their emotions and improve their overall quality of life,” Bano said (Courtesy: @sacredspaceto / Instagram).

It’s difficult knowing when to slow down in the bustling city of Toronto, but this Toronto WOMBan is helping people recognize when they need rest.

SacredSpace TO is run by Sabrin Bano who’s worked with over 200 wellness practitioners in Toronto in places like ShopSol and the Spring Equinox Market

Bano deems herself as a “WOMBan” as she specializes in taking care of the womb through vaginal steaming, womb circles, emotional freedom techniques (EFT), and postpartum birth keepers.

And this Sunday she’s hosting the Art of Healing Gathering in the Esplanade with their community organization Jamii this Sunday.

“Through Yoni steaming, EFT, cupping, and other healing modalities, I’ve been able to balance energies and give people access to the tools they need to be able to use holistic approaches for self healing,” Bano told Now Toronto.

More people in Toronto are turning towards advocating for vaginal health, understanding the roots of feminine energy, and promoting alternative physiological practices for women, such as Dilatotech and Feminine Origins

“In a fast-paced and often hectic urban environment, having a simple and effective technique like EFT can be invaluable in helping city dwellers manage their emotions and improve their overall quality of life,” Bano said.

EFT combines traditional Chinese medicine with modern psychology to alleviate emotional distress by tapping on specific acupressure points on the body while focusing on the source of anxiety or stress, according to Bano.

Jamii is a community organization that focuses on uplifting the Esplanade neighbourhood through exhibitions, childrens’ festivals, and murals for over a decade. They offer free workshops like learning about the culture of waste-beads, and novels about pre-colonization.

The Art of Healing Gathering will take place this Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jamii Hub in The Esplanade.
