VIBE A fancy restaurant during the day, Czehoski becomes a luxurious but laid-back lounge after dark. Most nights DJs play an eclectic variety of tunes. From the front, it looks deceptively small, but go up the stairs and there are another two floors, with plenty of seating throughout.
PAST LIVES The original Czehoski’s was a Polish deli, but all that remains of the long-time Queen West fixture is the sign and a glass case near the entrance.
DANCING OR LOUNGING It would be surprising to see much dance-floor action here, with the possible exception of special events. It has been witnessed, though.
OUTDOOR ACCESS There’s a patio off the second floor, but access to it is closed late at night, presumably to keep peace with the neighbours.
