Now Toronto was onsite covering the team’s marches, and captured the moment Team Canada fans came up with a new chant for today’s game, with a play on the Bosnian team’s name.
“Are you Bosnia or Herzegovina? Pick one. You’re confused. You’re gonna be confused enough b*tch. No more, Canada baby. Come on!” one energetic fan said, as others cheered him on.
After the initial chant, other fans kept singing along: “David’s on fire, your defense is terrified.”
First Canada match happening on Friday
The first Toronto World Cup match is taking place on Friday, with the national team facing Bosnia-Herzegovina at 3 p.m. at the Toronto Stadium.
Before the game kicks off, Canada will also host its Opening Ceremony, with performances by Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyes, Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, Elyanna, William Prince, Sanjoy, and more.
