As Labour Day and back-to-school approach, Torontonians have only a few more weeks of summer before fall officially kicks in.
Bringing one more option for those looking for ways to enjoy these last moments of the warm season, Cineplex is celebrating the occasion by offering $5 general admission tickets for all screenings on Sept. 5–6.
The promotion is available for all movies this weekend, except for IMAX 70MM or Standard 70MM screenings, events performances, or non-feature films.
To take advantage of the promotion, movie goers can buy tickets in-theatre or online for this weekend, with online tickets automatically going for $5 for CineClub members, $6 for Scene+ members, and $6.50 for everybody else, including the booking fee.
In addition to the discounted tickets, audiences can enjoy their favourite theatre snack for a cheaper price, as Cineplex will also offer $5 small popcorn deals to accompany the tickets.
According to Cineplex, a portion of this weekend’s profit will also be donated to the Canadian Picture Pioneers (CPP), which is a charity that supports Canada’s motion picture industry.
