Doug Ford’s old family cottage is available for rent on Airbnb at $750 a night, and Canadians have some interesting takes on the listing.

Listed by Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s daughter Kayla Ford, the lakefront cottage in Huntsville, Ontario, features four bedrooms, five beds, and two baths.

The 4.75-star rated property seems to be popularly in demand, with the next available booking date in September.

Screenshots of the listing have gone viral on social media with many reacting to the rental property being “too pricey.”

“ONLY $750 a night so ‘the poors’ of Ontario get a chance to enjoy the splendour of Muskoka,🙄,”  one X user said.

“Oh Huntsville? Wow…he’s closer to me than I thought. $750 a night September prices? No thanks,” added another X user on the exorbitant price.

Others are sarcastically noting how the property is allegedly right next to Ford’s new cottage.

“His daughter is now renting out the old cottage on AirBnB for $750 a night in the off-season!

Next door to the massive new cottage Doug Ford built on his $209K Premier’s salary!

“Just a regular guy folks!🙄”

“Unbelievable! First Ford gets one of his developer pals to build him a more luxurious “cottage” then he turns the old one into a luxury B&B run by one of his daughters. On and on the grifting goes,” added another individual.

Many are also entertained by the reviews on the listing complaining about the “poorly maintained” cottage.

“5 out of 5 view , but watercrafts poorly maintained w/ missing parts, discrepancies in amenity, no crib (bassinet is not a crib) and no hairdryer, all bedrooms are really really small,” reads one review on the Airbnb listing.

Another recent review mentions several issues, including a malfunctioning shower, bunk beds being “outright dangerous,” a “disconnected” smoke detector, and missing seats on the free “paddle boat.”

“I think that the owners would benefit from staying in this space and pretending to be guests as being able to see the space personally would likely be incredibly valuable,” the reviewer continued.

Meanwhile, one individual had an interesting idea, “I say that everyone chip in and send all the kids who had their camps canceled at the Science Centre or someone else rent it and have a rave party.”
