Toronto’s friendliest neighbourhood has just been revealed, with Scarborough’s Agincourt North neighbourhood coming out on top.
According to Nextdoor Canada’s 2026 rankings, Agincourt North came on top with a friendliness rating of a perfect 100 on the scale. Nearby neighbourhoods Malvern and Rouge followed closely behind with a tied score of 99. Woburn took third place with a friendliness score of 98.
The neighbourhood network compared real neighbour interactions on their platform to determine the friendliness of each area. Much like an index, one neighbourhood in Toronto gets a top score of 100, and others are ranked related to it.
Nextdoor looked at all posts with a positive or negative tone, how often neighbour requests for help or recommendations were fulfilled, any posts expressing neighbourhood pride or dissatisfaction, the number of free items shared in the For Sale & Free column for that neighbourhood, any welcome posts that receive responses from neighbours, and any posts where neighbours promoted or recommended a local business.
When it came to Agincourt North, the neighbourhood received a perfect score across the board, with the network highlighting the area’s diversity, cleanliness, family-friendly, and peaceful atmosphere.
