TTC replacement buses along Spadina Avenue are not stopping at Spadina Station this week due to track construction.

Starting Monday, the 510 and 310 replacement buses will be diverting to St. George Station, and in turn, will be not stopping at Spadina Avenue between Harbord Street and Bloor Street.

According to the TTC, the detour is to accommodate bike lanes scheduled to be installed at Spadina Avenue and Bloor Street.

Shuttle buses will resume regular service, including making stops at Spadina Station, on July 22.

This week, the city will also begin its reconstruction of Bloor Street West from Spadina Avenue to Avenue Road. This will include replacing the entire road pavement structure and repairing road drainage, curbs, boulevards and sidewalks.

Last month, the TTC announced that the 510 Spadina streetcars would be suspended and replaced with buses until the end of year due to infrastructure upgrades. As a result, there has been traffic congestion along Spadina Avenue with several buses constantly stalled, leaving many riders frustrated and even opting to get off the bus and walk to their destination.
