Halton Regional Police Services is investigating a smash-and-grab incident at a jewelry store in a Burlington Mall, days after the store’s Toronto location was also robbed.

The latest robbery took place last Sunday at a Michael Hill jewelry store at the Burlington Centre at approximately 5:30 p.m., according to police.

A video of the incident surfaced on social media shortly after, and shows several masked men dressed in black clothing smashing jewelry display cases and filling bags with items.

“There were no customers in the store and no injuries reported to police. The suspects began smashing display cases with hammers and stole numerous items before fleeing,” police said in a statement on Tuesday.

The incident comes just days after another Michael Hill location was smashed and robbed at Fairview Mall in North York by a group of suspects on Oct. 10, according to media reports.

Now Toronto reached out to Michael Hill for comment but did not receive a response in time for publication.

Now Toronto also reached out to Burlington Centre for comment and is still awaiting a response.

Halton police say no arrests have been made and did not provide a value of items that were taken.
