Many people are bashing Team Canada’s uniforms designed by lululemon, ahead of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics starting on Friday.
Team Canada x lululemon Olympic merch dropped its official merchandise collection for the games on Tuesday. The athletic wear company says it used product testing and included feedback sessions with 19 Olympians and Paralympic athletes to understand their needs during the games.
“My biggest takeaway from this process was lululemon’s commitment to working with Paralympians to make the pieces accessible and adaptable,” lululemon Ambassador and Team Canada Wheelchair Rugby Player Zak Madell said in a press release.
Some of the items included in the collection are a $248 convertible jacket, convertible pants for $198, joggers for $168 and slides for $78, among others.

Canadian swimmer Penny Oleksiak also showed off some of these items in an unboxing video she posted on social media.
Other items she received include multiple pairs of socks, slippers, pins, parkas, sweaters and other workout gear.
This marks the third Olympic Games for the 24-year-old who is set to compete in the women’s 4x100m freestyle on July 27.

Since its release, many online users have been hating the designs calling them “awful” and “embarrassing.”
“@lululemon should be fined for these awful, fugly, used-pads-tampons-alike Olympic uniforms for Team Canada. Their designers should go to jail and be denied the right to call themselves fashionable,” one X user said.
“This is what Lululemon thinks makes the Canadian Olympic team “feel good”. The 80s called and wants its fabric print back. (Yes, these glorified pajamas ala Walmart are real),” another user said.
“Can @lululemon and @TeamCanada please throw out the new Canada Olympic uniforms and start again? Have you ever seen a worse design in your life?” another user commented.
“@lululemon Were you guys sober when you designed Canada’s embarrassing Olympic uniforms? Has to be the fugliest pajamas ever! Why blood splatter? Hopefully, you will hear more about this garbage!” another comment read.
The opening ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympics Games begin tomorrow at 1:30 p.m ET. Olympic champions Maude Charron and Andre De Grasse will represent Team Canada as its opening ceremony flag bearers.
