Toronto’s annual Do West Fest will return this weekend to the west-end’s Little Portugal for its 10th annual celebration of food, culture, music and the arts. Festivities take place along Dundas Street West between Shaw Street and Lansdowne Avenue, across a total of 16 blocks.
Peruse over 200 vendors, from local food to bespoke handcrafted jewelry stores, vintage markets and live music stages, or sip on a refreshing cocktail from any of the festival’s 30 licensed patios.
The festival kicks off on Friday, June 9 from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., and runs all weekend, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 10 and on Sunday, June 11 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
In an effort to reduce the risk of overexposure to the smog, Due West Fest announced in an Instagram post that vendors will be wearing N95 masks while working.
A full spec of precautions will follow on Friday at 9 a.m.
Since its inception, Do West Fest has thrived, bringing together residents from across Toronto eager to soak in the atmosphere. Over the past decade the festival has become a lynchpin of the local community, proudly showcasing the skill of resident artists, culinary experts, musicians and performers and the work of international talent.
