According to King Realty Co.’s agent Felicia Jones, especially if compared to the busy 2021–2022 market, buyers right now have a great chance to find some great properties in GTA cities such as Brampton with a $500,000 budget.

Although this budget might not get them an impressively large space, it makes it possible for many first-time buyers or investors to get their foot in the door.

“Just right now there’s in terms of condo apartments, town-stacked condos, there’s almost 150 options right now between $285,000 and $500,000 on the dot, and that ranges from one to four-bedroom [apartments] and one to three bathrooms,” Jones told Now Toronto.

“It all depends on what that person is looking for…But as a person that’s just looking to get into the market or to move out of their family home, it’s a very cheap entry price point to pay compared to other cities.”

The city has a lot more to offer than just a cheaper price point. Jones, who is a Brampton resident herself, explains that the city is a one-stop-shop for essentials and entertainment, from grocery stores to shopping centres.

In addition, the city is also a multicultural hub for groceries and food spots, making it easy to find your favourite cultural bites.

“I’m Jamaican, and I can go and find restaurants or groceries that my Jamaican side [of the family] would cook. I can find Italian bakeries. There’s lots of Guyanese and Trini food and Indian food and all of those things. So I think that it just has a lot to offer for so many people,” she explained.

The realtor explains that whether it’s a good time to buy might depend on what the buyers’ budget and intentions are in the current market, but she encourages those who are ready to take a look at what’s out there and consider the opportunities.

“There is no one-size-fits-all. I think that there are a lot of contributing factors and moving parts. But if you have the funds, if you have the means, if you have the employment to support going out on your own or…with a partner [or] friend, then the numbers add up. It’s a great time to buy,” she added.

For those who are exploring Brampton, here are some properties to get you started.
