The Jonas Brothers took to the stage at the Jays vs. the Dodgers World Series Game 2 Saturday, prompting mixed reactions from baseball fans.
It was a nail-biting first five innings with the two teams tied 1-1 since the third.
Jays’ pitcher Kevin Gausman had given his counterpart Yoshinobu Yamamoto a run for his money, maintaining a tight grip on the mound into the sixth inning.
Gausman continued into the seventh inning and was ultimately swapped out for Louis Varland, but not before an intermission.

An MLB tradition since 2009, Stand Up to Cancer is a special moment in big MLB games when everyone in the stadium raises a placard to pay tribute to those affected by cancer. The tribute did not take anyone by surprise, but what came after it left many confused.
“‘Thank you for honoring those fighting cancer. Here’s the Jonas Brothers,’ was not on my bingo card for this World Series,” one X user wrote.
“Why wasn’t it done at the 7th inning stretch? That actually might make sense,” another X user said.
“It’s a nice moment but totally inappropriate corporate advertisement for the middle of a baseball game,” another wrote, referring to the band’s stage that was covered in Mastercard logos.
Some came to the performance’s defense, “Not sure why they did a whole concert in the middle of the game but the case was respectable.” While others went as far as to blame the band for the Jays’ Game 2 defeat, “If the Jays lose it’s entirely on that weird Jonas Brothers performance in the middle of the game.”
And to those Jonas Brothers haters, one X user wrote, “Blaming the boys because your team doesn’t perform well? Weird.” To which another replied, “You obviously know very little about baseball.”
