This weekend, 50 Cent is in town, Honda Indy is back, and AlohaFest is in full force, among other exciting events. Here’s what you can check out:

Friday, July 19:

Karaoke, Music, Dancing, Comic Books and Cool Vibes

Exile Karaoke is hosting a free night of singing, music, dancing, comic books and cool vibes at 2961 Lake Shore Blvd. W., in Etobicoke. From 9:30 p.m to 2 a.m, you and your friends can jam out to all types of music genres while sipping on cheap drinks.

Ontario Honda Dealers Indy

The 2024 Honda Indy is taking over Exhibition Place once again to showcase the annual Indy car race, food trucks, interactive displays and more. The world-class motorsports festival is known for hosting some of the world’s fastest race car drivers, including Scott Dixon, Will Power, and Josef Newgarden. Tickets range from $50 to $200.

The Female Eye Film Festival

The Female Eye Film Festival is an international women’s film festival celebrating its 22nd edition in Toronto. The festival puts documentaries, features, experimental, animation and short films across North America and the world on display. This year’s festival is at the Paradise Theatre with tickets ranging from $20 to $80.

Saturday, July 20:

50 Cent Live

Watch legendary rapper 50 Cent perform his iconic debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ at Cabana Pool Bar on Saturday afternoon. His show starts at 1 p.m. General admission tickets are $98.49 each.

AlohaFest Toronto 2024

Perfect your hula dance and immerse yourself in Polynesian culture at AlohaFest Toronto. Organizers are inviting all to revel in Polynesian dance performances, shop from unique vendors and savour Pacific-inspired cuisines. The free event is from 11 a.m to 7 p.m at Mel Lastman Square.

Roaring ‘20s Garden Party at Spadina Museum

Spadina Museum is inviting you to its Roaring ’20s Garden Party where visitors are encouraged to wear their best 1920s-themed attire and enjoy food in its picturesque gardens. At the party, there’ll be live musical performances, artistic workshops, vintage and artisan vendors and a chance to explore the museum with a guided tour. Tickets are $25 each and the event is from noon to 5 p.m.

Weekend Series

TD Bank presents Weekend Series at Woodbine Park where you can see the city’s fresh and emerging artists perform live. Among the performers is up and coming Toronto R&B artist Jordan Astra who will take the stage to bring “Pharrell meets Anderson Paak.” The event will also include soul, reggae and jazz performances. This is a free all ages event that is happening from 3 to 8 p.m.

Youth Day 2024

The 18th annual Youth Day is taking place at Yonge-Dundas Square once again. The free arts festival includes live music, dance, art, photography, fashion and films by emerging artists. Meanwhile, its market will offer diverse foods, local artists, and charities to support. It’s free to attend and runs from 11 a.m to 11 p.m.
