There’s a lot going on in the city this weekend, with the schedule of events featuring everything from the annual Toronto Pride Parade to various FIFA-related activities.

Now Toronto has compiled a list of nine things to brighten up your weekend this June 26-28. Here’s what you need to know.

FRIDAY

Wine Around

Location: 55 Bloor St W.

If you’re craving a nice glass of wine while soaking in the sun this summer, take a look at Eataly Yorkville’s Wine Around event. Enjoy an evening filled with Italian wine and live music, with exclusive access to over 15 wine and liqueur tastings from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

From sparkling vino to a variety of white and red wines, check out this wide selection while sipping and socializing. Take advantage of VINO DAYS and get 20 per cent off when you pick over three bottles to purchase.

Therapeutic Art Workshop

Location: 1033 College St

Fridays don’t always have to be reserved for partying. Art therapy student Drea is hosting a therapeutic art workshop from 6-7 p.m. at Kapwa Counselling & Psychotherapy for those interested in exploring self-compassion using mixed media. 

Through playful art journaling and mindfulness exercises, practice self-acceptance and love at this special event. Light refreshments, coffee and tea will be provided. The event costs $25 plus tax on Eventbrite, but if the cost is a barrier, reach out to drea@kapwacounselling.ca

Pride Boat Party

Location: 176 Cherry St

Celebrate Pride on the rooftop of a party boat. Toronto Cruise Parties Official is throwing a 2SLGBTQIA+ boat party with over 500 guests, rooftop dancing, live DJs, skyline views, and a licensed bar available for drink purchases. 

The four-hour rooftop party runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., allowing guests to enjoy sunset views and then keep partying all evening. Expect House music, EDM, Latin, Reggaeton, Afrobeats, throwbacks and Pride classics. The dress code is bold, colourful and glitter.

SATURDAY

City Scavenger Hunt

Location: 3500 Lake Shore Blvd W.

Take date night to the next level and discover the city while participating in a scavenger hunt with your boo. From love-building challenges to discovering new cool sights or romantic spots, this daytime activity has you covered. 

From 1-5 p.m., join the self-guided activity through the Digital Date Nite Box filled with fun tasks to create memorable activities and make sparks fly. Tickets on Eventbrite cost $10 plus fees for two people. 

Toronto Tempo’s Play with Pride Night

Location: 40 Bay St

Celebrate basketball and Pride in one night with Toronto Tempo’s game against Phoenix Mercury, Pride edition. Presented by Sephora, the night features performances by Nina Sky, Charlotte Day Wilson and Function10

There will also be Pride-themed activations, giveaways, limited-edition merchandise from Peau de Loup and Round21, and a free Sephora x Tempo Pride T-shirt for the first 5,000 fans. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster, starting at $43.75.

Big Queer Sleepover: Your Lo-Fi Pride Party

Location: 32 Lisgar St

End Pride Month with an epic Pride sleepover at the world’s oldest Queer bookshop,, Glad Day Lit. Attendees are invited to explore the big atrium and enjoy a slow dance featuring what organizers describe as “millennial prom vibes” from DJ Lana, then enjoy a Queer movie,  get crafty with button-making, colouring and crafts, and mingle with new people. 

Organizers share that the venue even has a park out front, allowing you to go in and out to get some air, food, or a break. The bar inside will serve alcoholic drinks until 2 a.m., and also has non-alcoholic options available. Guests are also allowed to bring their own food and an empty water bottle, too. No outside drinks.

SUNDAY

Toronto Soccer City Hunt

Whether you’re a World Cup fan or just exploring the world of soccer, check out World Cup Hunters’ Toronto soccer city hunt, a free self-guided 55-minute experience available between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. 

Explore iconic landmarks and complete fun challenges through downtown and the waterfront through clues hidden in plain sight. Live Music at Ethica Coffee Roasters

Location: 213 Sterling Rd

Sip on a nice cup of coffee while listening to some local talent at Ethica Coffee Roasters Live Music Night. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and is filled with other music enthusiasts, pastries, coffee and tea, available for purchase.

Dinner with Paranormies

Location: King St W.

Attend a spooky, supernatural and paranormal dinner on King St W with My Paranormal Podcast. The show is bringing a horror paranormal experience to paranormal enthusiasts for $15 plus fees.

Attendees can look forward to a unique dinner experience and the opportunity to make new friends with similar spooky interests. Dinners are held at different restaurants each week and will be revealed to attendees after they purchase their tickets.
