It’s (almost) the most wonderful time of the year to get under your favourite blanket, sip on a hot drink and watch some festive television.

If you’re looking to get a head start on the holidays or for some recommendations to bookmark for the break, be sure to check out our list below!

Dash & Lily
  • Where to watch: Netflix

Before they were James Anothny in Weapons and Leighton’s girlfriend in the Sex Lives of College Girls, Austin Abrams and Midori Frances were Dash and Lily . Adapted from the young adult novel, Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares, this limited series takes you on a brisk yet exciting, romantic journey through charming notebook exchanges and carefully planned dares.

Hawkeye

  • Where to watch: Disney+

Want to see some action over the holidays? Jeremy Renner teams up with Hailee Steinfeld for a Marvel spin-off that’s sure to include some decking (of the halls). When a threat from the past reemerges, Hawkeye unwillingly teams up with skilled archer and huge fan, Kate Bishop to uncover a major conspiracy.

Nailed It: Holiday
  • Where to watch: Netflix

Nailed It is a fun series to watch all year round, but the holiday edition is the perfect show to watch while decorating gingerbread houses or munching on holiday treats. We recommend season one, episode six,  “3…2…1, Ya Done,” the chaotic but humorous return of our favourite amateur bakers.

Is it Cake? Holiday

  • Where to watch: Netflix

Hungry for more seasonal baking? Saturday Night Live’s Mikey Day brings the holiday spirit to his popular cake realism competition show. Season one is ready to binge with the second season out Nov. 25.

Merry Happy Whatever
  • Where to watch: Netflix

Dennis Quaid, Bridget Mendler, Ashley Tisdale star in the arguably most underrated holiday sitcom ever. When Emmy Quin (Mendler) brings her musician boyfriend home for Christmas, her father (Quaid) is immediately dissatisfied putting their relationship to the ultimate test.

Black Mirror: White Christmas

  • Where to watch: Netflix

Not feeling the warm and fuzzy vibes? We got you. There is nothing holly nor jolly about the tales told in season two, episode four of Black Mirror. Fans say “White Christmas” is actually one of the most distressing episodes in the entire twisted-reality series.
