Think your friendships can survive a Draw Four?
Toronto is about to find out.
UNO Social Club is bringing a massive community game night to the city on July 9, transforming The Parlour into a hub for card battles, music and a little friendly competition.
The free event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., inviting players of all skill levels to shuffle up, meet new people and see who can avoid becoming the night’s biggest loser.
More than just a game night
But it won’t be your regular game night, UNO Social Club will feature the classic gameplay, accompanied by local DJs and MCs.
The stakes are high at this event. Instead of just playing for fun with friends, you have the opportunity to win exclusive prizes, including branded merchandise and UNO product packs.
Organizers say the idea is to turn one of the world’s most recognizable card games into a social experience that brings strangers together through a little healthy competition.
“At the heart of UNO is a simple truth: play brings people together,” Katie Buford, Vice President and global head of Mattel Games, said in a news release.
“I’m so there,” UNO lovers are excited for the event
