
The Greater Toronto Area’s summer concert season is getting even bigger, with a brand-new music festival set to debut this Labour Day weekend.
The Urbanova Music Festival will take over the Markham Fairgrounds on Sept. 5 and 6, bringing a lineup of hip-hop, rap and dancehall artists to York Region.
What is Urbanova?
Urbanova is a brand-new, all-ages music festival produced by Steelbull Entertainment in partnership with Skyz The Limit Entertainment.
Organizers say the event aims to showcase some of the biggest names in urban music while creating a new annual festival destination for the GTA.
The Markham Fairgrounds is expected to welcome up to 15,000 attendees during the festival’s first edition.
Marketed as an all-ages event, the festival is being launched by Steelbull Entertainment, a creative production and entertainment company known for producing live events, talent experiences and media projects.
The event is also being organized in collaboration with Skyz The Limit Entertainment.

- Shenseea
Festival organizers say additional performers will be announced before the event.
