Toronto’s first Black-owned pilates studio is set to reopen next week after making some out of this world additions to its inclusive space.

Nice Day Pilates’ grand reopening will be on Monday, May 15 to reveal its new reformer studio and one on one private session space.

The east-end studio, located near King and Parliament streets, was closed for the first half of May to renovate the studio and set up the exercise machines. And now Nice Day 2.0 is here and everyone is welcome.

Founder and creator Jennifer Winter originally opened the studio during the pandemic in an effort to build a space that reinforces diversity and inclusion in Toronto.

“We managed to push through and keep the lights on even when we were shut for months and months on end. Not only are we still standing but we are stronger than ever and ready to continue this gorgeous work of mindful movement,” Winter said in a blog post earlier this month

Additionally, in an effort to keep pilates accessible, Winter has developed an out of this world on-demand platform where you can access Nice Day Pilates from the comfort of your own home. Currently they are offering a new Summer Collection of its online pilates and mindful movement platform, Planet Nice Day

And right now, the studio is offering new subscribers a free trial on the online platform! Planet Nice Day provides out of this world cosmic habits with new classes dropping every week. Classes range from gentle to spicy and short to long, and offer everything from pilates essentials to prenatal flows. The free trial is available until May 14.
