Kaytranada is heading out on a North American tour that will make two stops in Toronto.
The Montreal electronic musician was supposed to play Rebel last June in support of his Bubba album, but the pandemic pulled the plug on those shows.
Now, he’s set to close out his fourth-month trek at the new Drake-anointed east-end venue History (which will likely open in Drake’s special month, October) on December 29 and 30. Tickets for both gigs go on sale on Friday, August 13 via Ticketmaster.
Kaytranada recently picked up two Grammy Awards, one for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Bubba and another for Best Dance Recording for 10%.
Released in 2019, Bubba featured a star-studded list of guest vocalists, including Pharrell Williams, Charlotte Day Wilson, Kali Uchis, GoldLink and Estelle. He also released an instrumental version of the album last fall.
