In photos: The People’s Climate Movement marched for change this weekend

Thousands gathered in Queen’s Park this weekend for the People’s Climate Movement March.

People’s Climate Movement began as a group of people concerned for the planet’s well-being, dissatisfied with the lack of effort our government has been putting in to make necessary changes for not only the climate, but for everyone’s health and wellness. The goal is to see Canada commit to maintaining a less than 2 degree Celcius rise in the average global temperature, and the march is their major initiative to try to get Canada on board.

The dedicated GTA participants made their voices heard through self-made posters, traditional songs and music and a walk through the city lit up by participants carrying lights of their own.
