Toronto and the GTHA will be lighting up the skies for Canada Day on July 1, and each city is preparing to celebrate Canadian culture with a colourful bang!

Whether you’re in the downtown core or closer to the suburbs, here’s where you can find front-row seats to catch the big Canada Day shows in all of their illumined glory. 

FIREWORKS HAPPENING IN TORONTO 

Harbourfront Centre

Address: 235 Queens Quay W.

Enjoy a dazzling firework show from a quintessential backdrop on the waterfront at the Harbourfront Centre. The centre will be hosting a day-long lineup filled with live music, comedy, an outdoor marketplace, art installations, and live performances. 

This Canada Day celebration will begin at 12 p.m., with fireworks starting at 10:45 p.m., and festivities ending at 11 p.m.

Ashbridges Bay Park

Looking for a firework show with a view? This Eastern waterfront spot and Canada Day classic has you covered. 

Head to Ashbridges Bay Park to experience a full 15-minute show featuring bright, sparkling, and magical fireworks that cascade over Lake Ontario. 

The firework show will run between 10 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Parking around the area is expected to be limited and attendees are being encouraged to use public transit.

Canada Day at Celebration Square

This Canada Day, you can experience a full-scale urban celebration, while bearing witness to a packed mainstage before enjoying a spectacular firework show at Celebration Square, located in the heart of Mississauga.

Starting at 4 p.m., attendees can expect to enjoy yummy bites from more than 25 food vendors, live music, family activities, and performances from Connor Price and DJ ELEV8 – all before the fireworks hit the sky at 10 p.m.

Canada Day #INThePort 

Address: Port Credit, Lakeshore Rd. from Stavebank Rd. to Hurontario St., Mississauga. 

Head to Port Credit to experience its Canada Day-inspired transformation, featuring live music, street performers, vendors, a big Ferris wheel and amusement rides, along with a dedicated kid zone from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. 

And the grand finale? A one-of-a-kind firework display launched from the Barge at the mouth of the Credit River at 10 p.m.

Streetsville Canada Day Celebrations

Looking for small-town community vibes and a beautiful firework show? 

Head to the Streetsville BIA to celebrate Canada Day in one of Mississauga’s most charming neighbourhoods for an evening celebration – from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. – featuring live music, dancing, face painting, a drone show, and cake cutting at 7 p.m.

Once the Canada Day party ends, make your way over to Memorial Park to witness the grand firework show at 10 p.m.
