Which World Cup matches are being played in Vancouver?
Vancouver is hosting seven games, including five group-stage matches, one Round of 32 fixture, and one Round of 16 tie.
The first group stage match will be Australia versus Turkey on June 13.
When does Canada play in Vancouver?
Canada will first play Qatar in Vancouver on June 18.
Canada’s Vancouver matches:
June 18: Canada vs Qatar
June 24: Canada vs Switzerland
The following group stage matches include:
- New Zealand versus Egypt on June 21.
- Switzerland versus Canada on June 24.
- New Zealand versus Belgium on June 26.
For the knockout stages, the matches will take place on July 2 and 7.
On the second of July, in the round of 32, the runner-up of group B will compete against the third-place E/F/G/I/J.
On the seventh of July, in the round of 16, the winner of match 85 will compete against the winner of match 87.
Where will FIFA Vancouver take place?
Vancouver will host the FIFA World Cup 2026 at BC Place, an arena situated on the banks of False Creek. The venue opened in 1983 and has a capacity for 54,000 fans.
BC Place is home to the MLS team Vancouver Whitecaps and the Canadian Football League’s BC Lions, and has occasionally hosted the Canada national team.
It has previously held memorable matches, including the final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015, where the U.S. defeated Japan 5-2.
