Weather
According to Environment Canada, there is a risk of thunderstorms moving through Toronto on Saturday afternoon.
The system could bring showers, lightning, and gusty winds. The Weather Network is forecasting similar conditions, with the potential storm window stretching from approximately 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This could affect daytime events such as Dundas West Fest and All Things Go.
The weather system is expected to clear by late afternoon, which could leave concertgoers heading to Rogers Stadium in the clear. Still, organizers and attendees are encouraged to monitor the forecast before heading out.
Despite the possibility of storms, temperatures are expected to remain warm, with daytime highs around 27 C.
Sunday is shaping up to be much calmer, with sunny skies, dry conditions, and a high near 26 C.
Transit
Anyone travelling to events this weekend should also be aware of several transit disruptions affecting GO Transit and the TTC.
The Lakeshore East line will be suspended all weekend between Durham College Oshawa GO Station and Union Station due to planned construction work.
Train service will resume on Monday, although reduced speeds are expected while construction continues. Regular service is scheduled to return on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Lakeshore West line will continue operating but on an hourly schedule throughout the weekend. This could affect passengers travelling to All Things Go, as attendees using GO Transit will need to exit at Exhibition Station before walking to the festival grounds.
The Stouffville line will also face service disruptions, with no train service operating between Old Elm GO Station and Union Station throughout the weekend.
TTC riders should also plan for delays. Line 1 will be closed between St. George and Sheppard West stations for track work on Sunday, with shuttle buses replacing subway service along the affected section.
