Tired of endless swiping on dating apps? Well, a new Love is Blind spin-off is coming to Canada, so your soulmate could be waiting in a pod.

Love Is Blind is a reality show that sees single people take on speed-dating, with a twist. Each person is seated in a soundproof pod where only they are able to hear and talk to each other, without ever seeing each other.

The goal of the show is for the singles to pair off and become engaged before seeing one another face-to-face. The social experiment focuses on emotional connection over physical connection, with conversations on personality, emotional compatibility and life values.

The series, which has become a hit on Netflix, originates in the U.S. and is hosted by Vanessa and Nick Lachey.

The show already has 10 seasons since its 2020 start and has spin-offs with contestants in Japan, Sweden, the U.K., the United Arab Emirates, and Mexico.

“I’m beyond excited to delve into this with a Canadian cast who are genuinely open to finding their soulmates, and to share their unique stories and authentic experiences.”

Fans of the show are commenting below the news, most of them excited to see what’s in store for the show’s Canadian edition.
