Ontario reported 2,447 new cases of COVID-19 on December 24, a new record high for the province.

The seven-day rolling average for new COVID-19 cases is now at 2,306. Public health officials consider this number a more accurate reflection of virus spread.

There are 277 patients in intensive care on December 24, and 152 of those patients are on ventilators.
