‘Timmie’s za?!’ Canadians react to Tim Hortons adding pizza to its menu

How about a pizza with your coffee and donut?

Tim Hortons will be launching flatbread pizzas across the country starting on Wednesday. 

The Canadian coffee chain says this comes as a way to entice more customers during its afternoon and evening hours. Chief Marketing Officer Hope Bagozzi believes there’s opportunity for the coffee company to expand during this time.

Pizza flavours include, cheese, pepperoni, chicken parmesan and bacon everything. 

The expansion follows a two-year-flatbread pizza pilot that was previously tested in select restaurants in Calgary, Winnipeg and the GTA.

In response, some Canadians do not have high hopes for the flatbread pizza.

“They can’t even properly toast a bagel and want to make pizza?” one X user said.

“Can they just make decent coffee and donuts first?” another user said.

“Timmie’s za?! No thanks” another user commented.
