A 31-year-old Toronto man is accused of sexually assaulting several minors including a seven-year-old child, and there may be more victims in the Greater Toronto Area according to police.

Toronto police’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Detective Vijay Shetty held a conference on Wednesday morning, sharing details of the investigation.

Daniel Langdon has been charged with 39 counts of sexual assault, 39 counts of sexual interference, luring, five counts of making child pornography, and two counts of possession of child pornography, among other charges.

“It’s very important that we reach out to as many members of the public not only within the GTA, but as well as all of Ontario to see if anyone’s had any interactions or any engagements with this individual that they can contact us right away,” Shetty said.

In Dec. 2022, members of the Provincial Strategy to Protect Children From Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet in Thunder Bay alerted Toronto Police investigators to a child luring and sexual assault investigation involving a young person.

Following the investigation, Toronto police executed a search warrant at Langdon’s residence in the Weston Road and Finch Avenue West area on Feb. 7.

Police seized several electronic devices containing evidence connected to the luring and sexual assault in Thunder Bay, along with a large amount of child sexual abuse material.

Police also said they seized additional child sexual abuse material at Langdon’s residence and from various electronic devices, along with evidence indicating a seven-year-old child was sexually assaulted at a Toronto park.

Additional victims were targeted online via social media sites and in person across Ontario, according to police.
The victims range in age from seven to 17 years old, police said.
