REVISITING FERGUSON
BlackLivesMatterTO organizers Tarisai Ngangura and Alyssa Williams will report on the realities of police brutality at 7 pm at OISE. A screening of Rebel Films’ works shed light on the police killing of Michael Brown in 2014 and the protests that have ensued as a result of racial profiling across North America. Find out more here.

Ontario’s 21 universities will dominate the Metro Toronto Convention Centre this weekend, offering prospecting students the chance to discover where they’d like to pursue their futures at this free event. Students and their families can talk to various university representatives, get information booklets on their desired schools, and learn more about the opportunities available to them from 10 am – 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, let top chefs help you warm up to fall with Soupalicious, an event that helps fund the national project to encourage farmers to share more of their harvest by adding an extra row to their crops, Plant A Row • Grow A Row. From 12 – 3 pm, sample on the best soups from talented local chefs’ kitchens, and learn a thing or two about kickstarting your own garden.
