Toronto poet laureate George Elliott Clarke launches Illicit Sonnets ($25, Eyewear) at the Gladstone Wednesday (August 21) with an onstage conversation about his collection of deeply erotic poetry with NOW’s Susan G. Cole, who has written extensively on sexual representation. There’s also a 30-minute staged performance based on the sonnets, featuring Keith Macfarlane and Payge Mildebrath, part of This Is Not A Reading series. See Readings.
