A sighting of ice blocks, construction crew and a certain Canadian rapper have Drake fans speculating again, as they expect the drop of the artist’s upcoming album Iceman very soon.
Fans and Torontonians took to social media after they began seeing a peculiar sight of ice blocks being hauled in by construction workers next to Bond Place Hotel on Dundas and Bond Streets.
The cold cubes’ appearance on Sunday, in spring temperatures was puzzling enough, until fans began spotting Canadian rapper Drake among the winter wonderland upon closer inspection.
“Does anyone know what’s going on with these blocks of ice at the car park next to Bond Hotel? I can’t find any event details online,” one Reddit user wrote.
Many fans were quick to inform that the stunt was most likely connected to Drake’s upcoming album Iceman, which he has been teasing over the past 9 months.
“This is for sure Drake,” another Reddit user replied, with others agreeing, pointing out some of his most recent ice-related stunts.
Some fans also caught Drake’s Instagram story earlier Sunday, where he posted a direct message an unknown person had sent him, containing an image of similar ice blocks, telling him “it’s in.”

Other Iceman teasers
The ice block phenomena comes just days after an explosion shook nearby residents Thursday night near Downsview Airport.
The mushroom cloud and accompanying noise had many residents complaining of the post-10 p.m. explosion, questioning what it was caused by, before the Downsview Park management team stepped in.
They confirmed the explosion was part of a “third party film shoot,” and apologized to anyone alarmed by the special effects.

Earlier this month, two courtside seats, usually dedicated to Drake, were frozen in ice, the rapper’s first teaser of his Iceman album in months.
The artist has been teasing the upcoming album for months, dropping “ICEMAN EPISODE 1” on his YouTube at the starting of July 2025.
The video featured an older performance by Drake at the music venue History, before switching the snippet of a music video for the song “What Did I Miss” that will be on the Iceman album. The music video dropped on his channel only three days after episode one.
The episode also showed ice blocks as well as a white truck with the words “Iceman,” which Drake was spotted previously driving around the Yonge-Dundas area in downtown Toronto, causing a stir from fans both online and offline in the area.

There’s currently no official release date for Iceman, but fans across social media have said they are expecting it to drop very soon.

Many agreed, with one user saying they saw the ice block brigade, and are expecting something soon.
