That tiny street food stand or one-table takeout joint might not look like much at first glance. But Toronto street food restaurants have given way to some of the city’s most innovative – and most beloved – food concepts, with small storefronts and food court counters becoming a launchpad for delicious new ideas.

We spoke to six business owners – from downtown to Scarborough and back again – about carving out their own little niche in the city’s food scene.
