The Lennie Project is a series of deliberate acts of kindness aimed at helping T.O.’s most vulnerable. All through January, drop off cozy wool and fleece castoffs at the Artists Newsstand at the Chester subway station or Sew Be It (2711 Yonge). They’ll be upcycled into hundreds of fleece-lined toques and neck warmers for homeless and underserved people (including Syrian newcomers). The project was founded by eco-designer Nathalie-Roze Fischer in honour of her late uncle Lennie. nathalie-roze.com.
