Classified has accomplished the near-impossible and carved out a living as a Haligonian hiphop phenomenon, being one of the few MCs with a back catalog as thick and rich as Buck 65. This Lost Tapes-type project comes at a perfect time for people to reflect on how far Class has come since 1996.
Love The One You’re With features three Boyd family members, and it’s simply touching, and the infectious single Fall From Paradise essentially summarizes his journey, just as this entire project does. The accompanying liner notes detail the creative process of all 22 tracks, plus the DVD offers all his videos. The brilliant song-making track Beatin’ It is included, as is the backbone-slidin’ jam Hard To Be Hip Hop, featuring Maestro. Time has been good to Classified.
