Ontario reported 1,575 new cases of COVID-19 on November 12, another new provincial record.
There were 1,426 new infections on Wednesday, 1,388 on Tuesday and 1,242 on Monday.
Provincial public health officials reported 18 new deaths, bringing the death toll to 3,293.
Toronto led the regional new infection rate with 472 new cases. Peel was close behind with 448, followed by York Region with 155 and Ottawa with 91.
Confirmed active cases in Ontario are up to 11,271, with hospitalizations reaching 431. There are 98 patients in intensive care, up 10 from the day before, and 62 of those patients are on ventilators.
The seven-day rolling average in the province has reached 1,299. A week ago, the province’s average was at 982.
Ontario completed 39,559 tests in the past 24 hours, marking a four per cent positivity rate.
Long-term care residents accounted for 12 of the deaths reported in the past day, with 94 outbreaks currently active in the province.
School-aged children ages four to 17 made up 154 of the new cases reported today.
There have been 89,784 total cases reported in Ontario, including 75,220 resolved – an increase of 917 from the day before. There have been 3,293 deaths.
