The eldest son of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is gearing up to launch his music career in just a few short weeks, and Canadians are buzzing with anticipation.
Xavier Trudeau (artistically known as Xav), the 17-year-old son of Trudeau and his estranged wife Sophie Grégoire, teased his upcoming song “Til the Night’s Done,” on Instagram earlier this week.
Set to debut on Feb. 21, the brief Instagram clip offers a glimpse into Xav’s sound, which blends influences of R&B and melodic rap over a trap-inspired beat.
Xav’s venture into music is a stark contrast from his father’s decades of work in politics and public service. His debut comes just weeks after Trudeau announced his resignation as the Liberal Party leader.

For the most part, Xav has been a relatively private figure, with no other Instagram posts other than a few highlights showcasing his basketball training and occasional travelling. The music teaser of the track already has fans eagerly waiting to hear more.
“Good work guys!” Xav’s mother commented under his post.
“WAIT THIS IS SO GOOD WHAT,” another Instagram user said.
“Won’t lie sounds better than most of rnb artists out there,” another user wrote. “Can’t wait to hear more.”
